                                                                            FAQ’S

Yes most definitely! There’s ‘hands on’ instruction in the field, along with lessons & assignments for all participants.

Emphasis is on visual design & creative approaches to enlighten you, making things fun.

Yes always, for later reference & your continued interest.

You may forget what we were learning & need a refresher to get you back on track.

Workshops are designed for all levels of photographers.

As long as you are familiar with your equipment, willing to learn & experiment, you’ll have a wonderful time.

For novices, it’s important to understand the basics of depth of field & shutter speeds in order to advance your seeing.

A workshop is not the time to learn the basics.

A SLR Camera, Digital or Film and 2 or 3 lenses is more that adequate.

A Tripod is mandatory (no toothpicks please...) & a cable release is very helpful.

A Laptop is not necessary, unless you’re on a 4 or 5-day workshop & feel the need to download many images.

Absolutely! This is an important part of the workshop experience. An Evaluation day is held at a later date in the GTA (4&5 day workshops) where participants receive valuable critique while viewing each other’s images. On 1-days, evaluation is done electronically via e-mail.

There is a ‘Siesta’ every full day on all 4 & 5 day workshops for relaxation & much needed rest. This is your time.

You can sleep, shower, download, whatever you desire.

Workshops are largely held “in the field” starting early with long hours, although there are organized break times throughout the day. 4 & 5-day workshops involve more activity, although not strenuous.

Accommodations are organized prior to workshop & participants book rooms themselves. Once you’ve registered, booking information is sent to you & participants usually receive a ‘group’ rate for the workshop duration.
